The 2012 Finish, Frog, & Slog-along hosted by Doubleknit Podcast twins Erin & Jessica has been a great motivator to finish long-forgotten UFOs. Here’s one that was five years in the making.

  • Amigurumi Bunny
  • No pattern, just winged it based on the amigurumi monkey I’d made earlier.
  • Yarn: Novita Olivia (70% bamboo, 30% polyester) in pink (150 m/164 yd) and natural (144 m/157 yd)
  • Hook: 3.0 mm
  • Other materials: Two safety eyes, polyester filling, dried peas (!), a small amount of black sock yarn for the mouth.

Slowly making my way to a UFO-less state…

What’s on my needles (and hooks) these days: I just know I’ll have a super crappy and busy week next week cooped up in a classroom so I had to cast on Rainy Day Socks as comfort knitting. We had *one* rainy day last week but after that it’s been nothing but gorgeous, sunny spring days. On that socky note, I’ve considered joining in the Summer of Socks 2007 but haven’t signed up yet cause I’m such a procastinator. Other projects: cable purse from DROPS, toe-up toe socks that are totally suffering from the dreaded Second Sock Syndrome, and an amigurumi bunny in the softest bamboo blend yarn. I’ve also done some dye experiments with food dyes…
